The Grieving Parents Support Association (GPSA) supports parents through donations of books to foster healing.
Yearly free events
Through the Grieving Parents Support Network (GPSN), the community-run bereaved parents support platform, we support the running of yearly free events such as:
- May We All Heal: A yearly free event held in May. This is specifically created for mothers to support them through the month of May with Mother’s Day and International Bereaved Mother’s Day. We encourage participants to become creatively involved with a daily topic. This can be any form of arts and craft, whether that is writing, painting, sculpting, clay work, doodling, movement, dance, or any other way of creative expression. More information can be found here: http://grievingparents.net/may-we-all-heal/
- Advent calendar for the bereaved parent: Yearly in December we collaborate with other charitable organisations worldwide and give away daily gifts to parents to support them through the Christmas period with all its potentially triggering holidays and festivities. The event takes place on GPSN’s FB page: www.facebook.com/grievingparents.net
- Calls for book donations, for example for bereavement boxes (first aid for bereaved parents)
- In future, we also plan local events, at which parents can meet up and share.
